Even small cracks in concrete should not be ignored, as they can lead to bigger issues down the road. Seemingly minor cracks allow water to seep in and undermine the integrity of the concrete over time.
As freeze/thaw cycles occur, the expanding and contracting water in the cracks causes further deterioration and widening. The cracks become prone to vegetation growth and ant/insect infestations as well.
Left unaddressed, small cracks inevitably become larger cracks and more costly repairs.
Our professional crack repair services stabilize cracks and prevent further damage. Repairing cracks also improves aesthetics and eliminates tripping hazards.
Being proactive with small crack repair now prevents expensive fixes later and maintains the strength and longevity of your concrete surfaces. Let our experts handle this important maintenance need to protect your concrete’s durability.
Generally cracks in the concrete that are less than 1/2" can be repaired. If the crack is larger than 1/2", that could be a sign of a larger issue with the slab and will need t be evaluated to determine the correct solution.
If the cracks are spidering, it will likely need a more extensive repair or possible replacement. Only a visual inspection will allow for a recommendation of the correct solution.
If the concrete driveway or sidewalk has extensive damage or heaving (one side of the crack is pushing up or away), it cannot be repaired with a crack filler. Contact us for a recommendation on what may be the best way to remedy the issue.
